Thanksgiving Day was also the 16th birthday of my eldest. It hardly seems like yesterday (much less 16 years ago) that I was trying to finish my Thanksgiving dinner (in our little house on the hill in Gatlinburg, TN) so that we could go to the hospital a good 5 weeks before my due date.
I find it hard to wrap my brain around the fact that the tiny little fellow born the day after Thanksgiving is now driving... and shaving (!). Wow.
On a totally unrelated note, thank you all so much for your kind words and comments regarding the new 2011 calendar! I am truly glad that everyone is enjoying it and I hope it provides you with a few needed gifts during these holidays. To kick off another beautiful Advent season, I want to give away a couple of prints from my shop. Simply leave a comment (I would love to hear about any special Advent traditions that you may have... but this is completely optional.) on this post before Friday at 3pm, and we will let random pick two different winners. The winning commenters will get to choose any print they like from those in stock.
Have a terrific day!

Sorry to be so late getting this posted!
Congrats to number 21:
Wow! Big 16! I think that driving thing is what makes this such a big one. We have some years to go yet but I do remeber when my nephews turned 16. It blew me away.
You really are too sweet with your giveaway. I love your art!
And to number 7:
We're working on making our Advent like a mini Lent.
God bless!
