A week has already flown by. In truth, it has probably seemed to fly because I have either been asleep or wanted to be asleep for nearly all of it. Thank goodness Lilly seems to be falling into a bit of a routine that involves more sleeping at night. ::Yawn:: She really is such a sweet baby.
I wish I had some wonderfully thrilling birth story to tell, but the truth is rather dull I guess. After two weeks of tons of contractions, it all came down to being nearly a week late (which really did not bother me at all) and a little Lilly quickly becoming not so little. Thank goodness she was born when she was as 9lbs 3oz turned out to be quite a challenge for me. (ouch) Anyway, all ended wonderfully and of course all pain and discomfort was instantly forgotten the minute I heard that first little cry.
Speaking of pain, am I the only one who hates it when the nurses come in and ask you "On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the least, how would you rate your pain?" I don't know why, but I find that question utterly ridiculous! I finally told the last nurse to ask it precisely how I felt about the pain-question. I said it with a smile (of sorts), but no one asked me again. ;-)
One last thing. I have decided to experiment with Twitter, since we all know that I am not the most reliable blogger... even with a full night's sleep. I am still learning about the whole Twitter world, but so far it looks like fun!
