I am not a brand-loyal person, for the most part. But when it comes to baked beans, we have not found any other's that we like as well as those from Bush Brothers. And we eat a lot of them.
Over time, I have tried several baked bean recipes (starting with dry beans) in an effort to break our addiction to the can, but none of them quite measured up. 
I do realize that Bush's contain what is probably a ridiculous amount of sugar, but if I could find a recipe that was similar I could slowly decrease the sugar amount over time.
So here is my request: Please, if anyone has a recipe that they think is even close to the taste of these beans, please email it to me or leave it in the comments. Pretty please. :-)
Not that it really matters, but the "Vegetarian" flavor is our favorite. We like most all of them, though. Thanks!!
