Oh, it's soo pretty and it looks big too! Do you do the binding by hand? I always wish I knew how to not do the binding by hand.

Hello Elisa,
Nope, I am not much for hand binding either. With this one I simply
trimmed the batting to extend past the quilt top (after machine
quilting it) about 1/2 and then trimmed the backing to extend out
past the batting about 2. Then I just folded the quilt back over on
itself and then over the batting and to the edge of the quilt top. I
pinned it in place just ahead of where I was sewing and stitched the
thing down. This tutorial ( http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47705-1.htm)
is pretty much how I did it, but not so neat and tidy. :)
Hope that helps!

Alice - I love the quilt! Sometimes the ones that aren't so perfect are the ones that are the most loved and most used. I have one on our couch that was supposed to be for my bed but never quite got big enough or nice enough. It is backed in flannel and falling apart but we (and the cats) can't get enough of it over the winter! I think these kind of quilts are good at reminding us that no matter how hard we try we aren't perfect. But we're generally good enough. The Creator made us so. He loves us that way and we need to love ourselves and others with all of our flaws.

No offense, but if there's a facebook like button, it'll be much easier for me to share.
